SMS inbox and send
Read the flat inbox and send texts from a company number.
Admins send and receive at Admin → SMS (/admin/sms). Managers get a read-only inbox at /manager/sms — Compose from Admin → SMS.
The landlord can turn SMS / texting off.
Send a text
- Open SMS inbox.
- From — an sms-enabled company DID (numbers you bought default to SMS on).
- To (E.164) — for example
+13125551212. - Message, then Send SMS.
- Refresh to pull the latest inbound.
The Inbox is a flat list (inbound + outbound), not threaded. You can attach an image (JPEG/PNG/GIF/WebP) when composing. Inbound pictures show in the inbox. If the messaging provider rejects the file, Octone shows a clear error — try a smaller image.

Texts to your DID show as ← In. If nothing arrives, confirm the number shows SMS on under Phone numbers and that the platform messaging profile is attached (landlord). See What happens after you buy a number.
